Fidelis is absolutely thrilled to announce that Jitesh Rane joins the team as our new Lead CFD Engineer!
In this role, Jitesh will conduct CFD related project work, as well as leading our software sales and support efforts in the CFD space. We’re excited to tap into all of his experience gained both in academia and industry, notably with Dassault Systemes as a part of the PowerFLOW development team.
From his bio:
Jitesh is a CFD Project Engineer at Fidelis with over 7 years of experience spanning academic research and industrial applications. He specializes in high-fidelity CFD-driven product development for aerospace and mechanical engineering applications, coupled with expertise in scientific software development.
Before joining Fidelis, Jitesh worked with the CFD physics validation R&D team at Dassault Systèmes, where he contributed towards the development of their industry leading CFD software, PowerFLOW. Jitesh earned his Ph.D. in Aeronautical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, focusing on development and application of high-fidelity CFD techniques for complex aerodynamic problems. Specifically, he developed a software framework to perform large eddy simulation (LES) with error estimator-driven adaptive mesh refinement and applied it towards highly unsteady and turbulent flow scenarios such as flows over rotorcraft/wind turbine blades.
Jitesh holds a Master of Science in Aerospace Engineering from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and a Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Mumbai. He has a proven track record in industry-based CFD projects, effectively applying his strong fundamentals to solve practical engineering challenges.
Outside of work, Jitesh likes to spend his time playing and watching soccer, rock climbing, skiing, traveling, and experimenting with new cooking recipes.
Welcome to the team, Jitesh!
