What We Do.

Fatigue and Fracture Analysis with FEA

Developing high quality, efficient finite element (FEA) models is only the first step in predicting actual failure of engineering components and structures. Defining failure criteria and understanding fatigue durability is essential to truly robust design.
Predicting failure is often the end goal of finite element analysis. This, however, is not a trivial undertaking.

Fidelis is capable of predicting yielding, time-dependent creep and overload events in components and structures. Perhaps more commonplace, though, is the analysis of durability. In this type of simulation, fatigue-life is estimated in terms of load cycles to crack initiation, and subsequent propagation of the crack through the part can also be predicted if necessary.

When you collaborate with the Fidelis team, you get what YOU need. We take great care in understanding the engineering challenges that you’re facing and are passionate about seeking the most innovative solutions. With decades of experience creating, running and post-processing finite element models, we’re confident that we can become your trusted simulation partner.
